You need to demonstrate that you can cover your living expenses while in New Zealand. You can generally meet the financial requirement through:

1. Your Own Income

You may qualify based on ongoing annual income of at least:

The funds must be genuinely available to you and cannot be gifted or borrowed for the purpose of meeting the requirement. The funds cannot be gifted or borrowed, and they cannot have any debt owed against them.

3. Sponsor’s Income

Your New Zealand sponsor may be able to financially support you if they meet Immigration New Zealand’s required income threshold. The required sponsor income depends on the number of parents being sponsored and whether there is one sponsor or two joint sponsors. Immigration New Zealand updates the applicable thresholds periodically.
Important: Financial requirements can be complex. Kwik Kiwi Immigration can help you identify the appropriate evidence for your particular circumstances.
